Wynyard Appoint Senior Head Coach
Date of Event Cricket North West: Sun Sep 15, 2019 9:53PM

The Somerset Pharmacy Wynyard Blues are proud to announce the appointment of Gregg Sharman as its Senior Men's Coach for Season 2019/2020. Gregg's role will be in a non playing capacity to drive a professional, competitive and fun environment, with a strong focus on developing youth.

Gregg comes to the role after previously guiding the Club in seasons 2012-13 and 2013-14 leading the Club to a Cricket North-West Grand Final and winning the Greater Northern Cup. Gregg’s all-round exploits on the cricket field are well known to many, being a ten-time Wynyard and two-time Cricket North West batting average winner at First Grade level. He is the second highest run scorer in the Club’s history. As a left arm pace bowler, Gregg has very close to 200 First Grade wickets despite rarely bowling since aged in his mid-twenties. Beginning at the Club as a 13 year old, Gregg’s journey as a junior and senior player saw him represent Tasmania at Tasmanian 16, 17 and 19, Colts, and three times at Second XI level.

While there is more information to come in the coming days on Gregg's plans for the men's program and his drivers behind taking on this appointment, it is with great pleasure that we welcome Gregg back to the role.

Exciting times ahead.
